Origin Story
Greater Good began in 2011 as a social enterprise vision focused on community development, culture, opportunity, and regional impact. From the beginning, the purpose was to build more than a business. The mission was to create a system that could connect people, ideas, resources, creativity, workforce pathways, and community infrastructure.
Over time, the Greater Good vision helped give shape to a broader ecosystem of programs, partners, and community-centered initiatives designed to support people who were often disconnected from opportunity.
In 2017, that work helped form the New Me Foundation as the nonprofit human-capital development lane of the ecosystem.
The New Me Foundation became the place where second-chance support, reentry, workforce readiness, community stabilization, mentorship, and personal development could live inside a mission-driven structure.
